The Soft Power Brief
What the Soft Power Index shows in numbers, the Brief shows in cases.
Four times a year, the Soft Power Brief takes a hard problem - or the organisations working inside one - and applies the three calculations that determine whether a defensible market position exists. The Crossover Point. The Chokepoint Map. The Voltage Test.
Each edition profiles five to seven organisations in depth. Not curated for narrative appeal, but selected because they are the sharpest available evidence of what the framework identifies: that hard problems can now be held as commercial positions by the actors structurally positioned to hold them.
The Brief is written for leaders past the point where inspirational case studies are useful - who need the analytical basis to build now, build later, or step out of a specific problem or class of problems.
What this gives you
If you are deciding where to deploy capital, where to concentrate strategic attention, or where the next decade of a career, a fund, or a portfolio should sit, the Brief is the closest available analysis of where positions have already formed and where they are still forming.
Each edition tells you three things a market map won’t:
Which specific organisations have crossed the point where solving is structurally cheaper than the status quo, with the unit economics named.
Where the barriers that stopped previous attempts have dissolved, and where they still hold.
Which positions are architecturally durable, and which are still exposed to the funder, the founder, or the political moment.
